  • Humility

The most lagged behind civilization, whose brains are infected by a virus, cannot even to calculate in mind. Humankind. Why God has chosen this civilization over angels? ((Heb. 2) “5 For to the angels has he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak. 6 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that you are mindful of him? or the son of man that you visit him? 7 You made him a little lower than the angels; you crowned him with glory and honor, and did set him over the works of your hands: 8 You have put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him…”)

The following are aspects of the answer:

If a computer program is set to accomplish a wrong task, the only thing (except of broken computer) that can stop it is if it uses up all the memory of the computer and is terminated by the operating system.

Even if the program knows that it does a wrong thing, it may keep going. As an example, I kept trying to live accordingly the letter of the law of the Gospel despite Gospel itself says that to live accordingly letter and law is wrong. I knew that to follow the letter of Gospel is wrong but kept going (see my book). Only complete lack of resources stopped me.

The less computing power (I mean first memory) a computer has, the faster it will do the right thing, terminate the wrong program. Yes, the less memory a computer has, the faster it may work in certain situations.

I think, this is the very essence of humility. God has chosen brain damaged people with broken memory over aliens with computer brains.

But it is hard to self-impose humility on ourselves: (Col. 2:18) “Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind”. But Jesus Christ indeed succeeded in this very difficult task: (Phil. 2) “7 But made himself of no reputation, and took on him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient to death, even the death of the cross.” – “He humbled himself”. How it is difficult to humble myself!

(2Cor. 12) “9 And he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest on me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” We develop when we are in weakness, sickness, stupidity, etc.

I think God uses every chance for our development (because He loves) us. But sometimes the best way to develop looks like a meaningless fall. Weakness however is not the purpose, the purpose is development.

The second aspect of humility is that humble are offended. (Ps. 103:6) “The Lord makes righteousness and judgment to all who are offended,” (Psalm 146:7) “makes the judgment to the offended, giving bread to the hungry. The Lord permits the prisoners.” The idea is that the Lord will judge back with a recompense to the offended.

  • Should we be honest before God?

Suppose for example the CEO of Google or UN secretary general or American President was careless and gave a promise to break the world economy in a certain way. I don’t know if the CEO of Google is a Christian, but suppose he is for the sake of the discussion.

Should he follow his promise to break the world economy, accordingly the teaching of Bible?

(Mat. 5) “33 Again, you have heard that it has been said by them of old time, You shall not forswear yourself, but shall perform to the Lord your oaths: 34 But I say to you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne: 35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. 36 Neither shall you swear by your head, because you can not make one hair white or black. 37 But let your communication be, Yes, yes; No, no: for whatever is more than these comes of evil.”

“Shall perform to the Lord your oaths” is Old Testament! What does the New Testament teaches?

(Rom. 12) “17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. 18 If it be possible, as much as lies in you, live peaceably with all men.”

It seems that the Gospel teaches to be honest before men not before God! A literal interpretation of this seems to mean that you should be honest if you dishonesty would harm and be disagreed upon by at least one man (if it is “peaceful” to all).

If the UN secretary general would promise to break the world, it would mean harm to all and no man having the right to claim that it was a dishonest behavior toward him.

We were taught to be honest by the Bible. But it seems that Bible does not require absolute honesty even if that would harm all men. So I see no reason to be absolutely honest, but instead to “live peaceably with all men”.

    Also:

(2Cor. 4:2) “But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.”

(2Cor. 8:21) “Providing (doing good to others) for honest (= good, virtuous, fair) things, not merely in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.”

  • Non-profit and non-pleasure

Love is the same word as charity in Greek. But charity in modern language is very near to “nonprofit” (=NGO). So love is nonprofit. What is common between love and nonprofit: It is as hard to honestly fit nonprofit registration purpose as hard to truly love. So nonprofit and love are essentially the same. Nonprofit is the external manifestation of love, to act not for money. But  pleasure is money inside us. (Money is a measure of good and pleasure is, too.) So inside us love is “non-pleasure” like non-profit? Does it mean that we like nonprofit not for money but to have as much money as possible (“nonprofits can have profit” is a common legal idiom) to be not for pleasure but to have as much pleasure as possible?

  • I advise you to be killed by Antichrist

(Rev. 12) “9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brothers is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they have overcome him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their souls to the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens, and you that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has but a short time.”

Isn’t it a stupid decision not to accept 666 to not be killed by the Antichrist in order to resist him in his kingdom? After all our salvation does not depend on our deeds, so we cannot be cast to the hell because of putting 666 on our mortal body.

But if we act accordingly the faith, we may choose to kill ourselves by rejecting 666. The reasons in my opinion are as follows:

    • The kingdom of the devil is coming. A man cannot resist the devil. (He deceives the whole world, not “tries to deceive”, he can deceive everyone in the world.) When the devil will be on the Earth he could simply control our brains and make us to do everything he wishes. It’s better to die than to start serve him with entire heart. There are certain spiritual mysteries in us, we are better to hide them by dying.
    • True believers love God rather than our own souls. We don’t want to do good to ourselves or save our souls (verse 11). If we don’t want this, then there is no reason to live, it is easy to agree to be killed. The time of salvation is out and we won’t be able to do on the Earth anything for the heavens. (It is like English “have overcome him” wht means that the war is finished, no more reason to live.) If we can do nothing, then there is no reason to live anymore. It is not said “hated their souls to the death” but “not loved their souls to the death”, this is passive indifference not active choice.
  • Which of the two variants will be in the heaven?

Bible clearly teaches that in the heaven there will be no such problems as hunger.

    But why?

I think, there are two variants:

    1. The development in the future will be never stalled for advanced periods.
    2. The development will sometimes almost fully stall making the life locally useless, but the citizens of the heaven will not consider their uselessness during such periods as a reason to ignore “mundane” problems like possible hunger.

Please discuss which of the two variants (or both?) will be accomplished.

  • Romans 2:11

(Rom 2:12) “For there is no respect of persons with God.”

There is no concept of reputation in the life with God.

  • You should claim to a court to yourself

(Mat. 5:25-26) “25 Agree with your adversary quickly, whiles you are in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and you be cast into prison. 26 Truly I say to you, You shall by no means come out there, till you have paid the uttermost farthing.”

(Luk. 12:57-59) “57 Yes, and why even of yourselves judge you not what is right? 58 When you go with your adversary to the magistrate, as you are in the way, give diligence that you may be delivered from him; lest he hale you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and the officer cast you into prison. 59 I tell you, you shall not depart there, till you have paid the very last mite.”

This means that you should judge even of yourselves you not what is right, that is claim to a court on yourself that you did a wrong. Otherwise God will punish you much more harshly than a court.

  • Two scenarios of the catastrophe

One of the reasons why the world economy is slowly but quite confidently moving towards a catastrophe, the following two philosophical concepts that occupy most of the people together (except for the last idiots who have no philosophy at all):

    1. A person thinks and is controlled only by the brain (atheists and some others).
    2. The person thinks and is governed by the soul or spirit (classical forms of Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, etc.)

Each of these two concepts leads to a catastrophe, but each in its own way:

    1. If a person is governed only by the brain, then there is no soul or spirit, there is no continuation of life, a person’s life is by and large meaningless, if there is any meaning, then it is to snatch as much as possible now, harming everyone else. Indifference, depression, greed, leading to theft and other crimes, can easily destroy the global economy.
    2. If a person thinks or is governed by soul or spirit, life on Earth also does not make sense, there is no sense in taking care of your body and brain, there is no sense in developing an economy, there is no sense in treating yourself, making money, doing good on Earth. This, too, can easily destroy the global economy.

Moreover, both concepts contradict the facts:

    • Thinking, feelings, and what is called “spirituality” of a person depends on the brain (and as a result, on other environmental and health conditions). If a person is hit on the head, his thoughts, feelings, character, change. The fact that a person thinks with some kind of “spirit” is unscientific and contradicts the ordinary human experience.
    • That there is no supernatural revelation, “death experiences”, etc. also contradicts experience.

If a person is confused in the contradictions of science, his personal experience, and religious revelations, this can lead to even greater problems than each of these concepts separately, such as: apathy from not understanding what needs to be done, harsh, fanatical actions, despair, absurdities such as “rejection of death”, and sometimes suicide.

I offer a way out, a philosophical concept that better explains the world and, as far as I know, does not create such problems: the soul exists, but the soul is nothing but a backup copy (in the “computer” sense) of the brain or electromagnetic radiation of the brain that continues to exist in the universe.

This makes our material and spiritual life much more understandable: We can compare ourselves with what we know well, ordinary computers.

Nobody stops taking care of his computer just because he has a backup, because we know that the computer itself and its restoration from a backup copy are worth something. And we can not despair that in three years the computer will surely break and we will lose all our files, which would make all our work useless.

Similarly, if we accept this philosophical concept, we will neither neglect our health nor be depressed by the fear of death or dementia. We understand that nothing on Earth can truly harm us: we have a backup in the sky. Even if our thoughts and feelings deteriorate, we will be restored to heaven.

And, in my opinion, this new philosophical concept is in good agreement with the Bible. We are waiting for the resurrection of the dead – restoring from a backup with a new brain that will work without bugs, like a good computer.

If you do not promote this concept, the global economy will inevitably face a catastrophe. Like this post. Promote it.

    Another post on this topic.

  • How hit by head may influence salvation?

Can a hardship deprive us of salvation? (Rom. 8:35-39) “35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For your sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Suppose that a fall caused by hardships can deprive us of salvation. In this case a hit by head could deprive us of salvation even more.

I think, soul is a backup copy of the brain, just like as for our computers. Then a hit by head cannot damage the soul. If even hit by head cannot damage our position in the heaven, how less could loss of job, debts, etc. How less could becoming a homosexual because of hormonal damage?

So, now I think the reverse: A fall caused by hardships advances our position on the heaven. It is because of (Ps. 103:6) “The Lord makes righteousness and judgment to all who are offended,” (Psalm 146:7) “makes the judgment to the offended, giving bread to the hungry. The Lord permits the prisoners.” See here about how my offence caused me good.

One more question: Can a human lose his faith in Christ due to hit by head? If he loses, will he anyway go the heaven? Or will he be considered dead since the time of the hit and go to the heaven that time leaving a “zombie” on the Earth?

St. Paul considered himself dead. I also consider myself as a half-zombie, because my “spiritual” state was much better before the hits. I remind that Paul was also beaten by the head, no wonder he considered himself dead.

(Rom. 6:11) “Likewise reckon you also yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

  • For which sake does God save sinners?

I think, God saves us sinners not for our sake but for the sake of the process of salvation itself.
