In the instance where he encountered the high priest serving the most high God—an esteemed position surpassing even that of serving the almighty God, which Abraham himself did—he displayed reluctance to offer his complete devotion and sacrifice his own well-being by potentially facing hunger following donating 100% of his funds.
In a similar situation, such as encountering someone of superior priesthood or expertise in mathematics, I, personally, would be willing to make the ultimate sacrifice. To me and my descendants, it is inconceivable not to give 100% in such circumstances, deeming anything less as an abnormality.
