In the New Testament discipleship is the purpose of life.

The followers of Christ are many times called “disciples” in the New Testament. Not “being disciples” or “doing discipleship”. It means that the entire nature of a follower of Christ is to be a disciple. We are disciples and nothing other.

The meaning of life is infinite development becoming more similar to God infinitely. (It is called “childs of God” who grow becoming infinitely more similar to their Father.)

It is an internal change inside a person that is learning, obtaining knowledge of God. (Phil. 3:8) “Yes doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.”

Paul says that he considers nothing as good as learning.

Christ is mathematics ((Jn. 1:1) “In the beginning was logic and the logic was with God and the logic was God”.) That is our purpose of life is infinite learning of mathematics.

See also my book “New Testament Commentary by a Mathematician” about how Christ is mathematics.

Christ is the essence and the main part of everything: (Col. 1:16) “all things were created by him, and for him”.

He is the word of God and (Heb. 11:3) “the worlds were framed by the word of God”. This means that the essence (“frame”) of the world is mathematics that is Christ. World exists with the sole purpose of containing mathematics in them, that we to learn. Our life exists with the purpose of us learning mathematics (obtaining Christ into us).
