I updated the “What is soul?” section of online book “End of Gospel”.

The updated section is reprised here:

What is soul?

Soul is believed to be eternal, immaterial part of man.

What this means?

I have an unexpected answer: Soul is the warranty (given by God) for body (including warranty of preservation of information in the brain).

God gives the warranty as the creator of man.

So, it is natural that soul is eternal (that is God gives the warranty of eternal life) and immaterial (soul is not some thinner matter like astral bodies in some religions).

This way we come to the possibility of agreement of our religion with the science: The mind of a man is located in the brain but is backed up by independent soul.

The resurrection of the dead is an inherent property of soul (given by God). God warranted that if a man will die he will resurrect, this warranty is a part of soul.

Thus we have quite natural theory: God created agricultural robots (Gen. 1:15) Yahweh God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. with eternal warranty and backup.

Soul consists of hope. I could better translate this word dream. That is soul consists of dreams. (Rom. 8:24) … we were saved in hope. Hope is one of the three the most stable things in the Universe: (1Cor. 13:13) … faith, hope, and love remain—these three (remain mean that these cannot be destroyed, that is these are preserved at such things as bursts or any other destruction). So our salvation is preserved in the most stable form, as a dream of God which cannot be destroyed. Salvation is hope.

Note that I am speaking about soul mean the Greek word psyche, not Hebrew word nephesh.
